# TAWNY API - Introduction

For a more direct integration into your products and services, our emotion recognition algorithms can also be accessed via an API. At the moment, access to the API is available upon request. If you are interested in using it, just drop us a line at info@tawny.ai.

The API is a typical REST API. We also provide a Python SDK you can easily install via PyPI.

As its main feature, the API allows you to apply our emotion recognition algorithms to images, providing you with estimations of the persons' emotion, intensity and affect states.
